Okay.... Great game, now how the hell do I get those 1Ups that are in the sky? It's making me crazy. I've done beat the game but I will never rest until I know.

I really like this game! Ive been looking for new retro styled games for my arcade cabinet & this game is perfect fit for it.....but my one & only (albeit a big one!)complaint is no option for custom key binding!
After all the work you put into this game,it seems a bit lazy to not have that as a option.Something as simple as that can save people like me a lot of time re-programing there whole setup, or just plain not including,or giving it a chance. Which would be a shame cause this is a great game! I hope this might be something in the works ,or update in the future.

Just adding a neutral for now.
Had terrible response time with keyboard and 360 game pad didn't work at all.
Sound was also stuttering and looping.
Just wanted to give a heads up to others with old PCs that although 8-bit
Corril Slayer appears to require a newer PC to run properly.
Not sure if this is an issue that can be easily tweaked or patched.
As a person who reads
As a person who reads creepypasta ALL THE TIME, I have to say this game is solid. I can honestly say I've NEVER felt uneasy while playing an 8-bit game...until now. The music gives a nice eerie feel and drives all the good points of the game home...very awesome.
I read a short note on Kotaku
I read a short note on Kotaku about this game and it instantly caught up my attention. Having played all of Eric Ruth's 8-bit demakes, I had confidence in Corril Slayer. Bought it right away, and if there's anything in my life I don't regret, is this.
The game is beautifully designed, the art direction is fantastic - the settings, the scenarios, the details, the monsters. And it's all wrapped-up in a soothing yet startling soundtrack. Oh, the music is amazing! What's more fun is a 8-bit styled game with Mp3 music. But it only makes things better! I haven't finished the game yet, but every stage has a small portion of story on its own, which the players discover by collecting clues on the Ghost World.
If you're a fan of the oldschool sidescroller shoot'em'up - which is mind-boggingly fun, not at all easy, and challenging - this is a must-have. Megaman and Simon Belmont would gladly welcome Sam Asherton to their hall of fame of the Golden Age of Fun.
I highly recommend Corril
I highly recommend Corril Slayer. It's got all the great, old-school characteristics you could hope for in a game like this. It has simple yet effective controls. The game has a good level of difficulty, along the lines of the older games that this is inspired by. Once it's game over, you start from the beginning. The graphics and animation are done very well. All aspects of the game work well with each other. The soundtrack is amazing and worth the price of admission alone. I give this game 10 out of 10 stars.
