Fun little game with a lot of replay value with three classes. Unfortunately you can't save and it seems to run slower after an hour or so. Some of the spells seem glitched and don't do what they're supposed to.

CQ is a fun little rogue-like. It's simpler than most and just throws you straight into the action. Unfortunately, the build is pretty buggy, and I've had plenty of trouble with crashes or items/spells disappearing. With all the other options out there, I have a hard time putting up with CQ's shortcomings. Hopefully future versions will be more solid.

Awesome little game to pass

Awesome little game to pass some time. Though it actually is quite fun. The interface is well thought out, and graphics have a retro feel to them, which brought back memories I'd forgotten I had. Tough enough to give you a nice challenge for your money, but fun at the same time. The soundtrack, IMO, is a very good match for the game; greatly enhancing the retro feel of the the game. Overall a slick little package.

Game looks very cool, and I'm happy to support efforts like this!

Unfortunately, be warned that it does not run in 64-bit linux.

Cardinal Quest is as simple

Cardinal Quest is as simple as effective. Forget about boring stories and neverending talks. Just choose your character (Knight, Theft or Mage) and skim through randomly generated floors for the thrill of monster hunting and leveling! You can choose you playing style through a large number of speels (for every characters). Floors and items on every floors are randomly generated which gives the game a good replay value.

Comments for version 1.1:
-------------------------

- Unfortunately, because there is neither save nor checkpoints. you need to complete the game in one shot.
- The game is quite difficult to install on Linux distrubitions not supporting deb packages. I managed to play it by converting the provided deb file into tar.gz thanks to deb2targz, uncompressiong it and then use flashplayer standalone to launch cq.swf .
- As the game runs, flashplayer uses more and more memory (3GB after 1 hours) until the system crash.
